Dr. Tiziana Susca, PhD obtained at Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy

Tiziana SuscaTiziana Susca earned a Ph.D. in Engineering at Polytechnic University of Bari (Italy) on March 2011 with a inter-disciplinary thesis on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). During her Ph.D. Tiziana was visiting scholar at Columbia University’s Center for Climate and Systems Research, NASA-Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York City. The outcomes of her research have spurred interest in some media such as the European Commission. 

Tiziana’s research joins the interest towards climate, environmental assessment, urban studies and the assessment of urban ecosystem services with a specific interest in broadening LCA application to the evaluation of the environmental and urban policies.

Tiziana held a master degree in Building Engineering from Polytechnic University of Bari. She worked like tutor for the courses of Architectural Composition in her home-University. 

She also conducts voluntary work for United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) and Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) Life Cycle Initiative and the intergovernmental framework for European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST).
